Phillu - Matchbox

Phillu is a mobile data storage device with a shape of match box that has capacity of 45 GB to carry and transfer your data. Phillu is designed by Burak Kaynak and Emir Rifat Isik and words comes from phillumeny that means term of collecting matchbox.

The device is designed in a shape of matchboxes, complete with nine matches. Phillu Match box contain 9 matches and each stick contain equal memory of 5GB of data that can be transferred another device without use of computer.

Most innovative part of this technology is you have to light match before transfer data to other device. When you have to transfer data you have to pick an available stick by press the case behind, put the head of the stick at the end of the striker and quickly strike the stick along the striker by adding pressure. The stick will become burned black at that time and will be ready to transfer data to another Phillu device.

How to transfer data by sticks?

* Press/Push the case from behind to choose and pick an avalaible stick.

* Put the stick head at the end of the striker.

* Strike the stick quickly along the striker adding pressure.

Now the stick turns into burned black match, making it possible to give it to another Phillu owner to share your data without the need of any computer in between.

Sharing your data with others will be completed after they plug in the stick to their own Phillu.
